As the President and CEO of Serenity Village Inc, Serenity Village Insurance & Consulting and Sweet Talk Wireless, Gary Hartfield is passionate about bettering his community and sharing his experiences to inspire others. He began his career in higher education and then decided to pursue an MBA in business which he earned from the University of West Florida in 1999. He left his pursuit of a career in higher education to attend to his passion for business.

Needless to say this was a great book it had ups and downs and showed Garry life journey. I think it's an inspiring book for anybody who is going through these ups and downs and their lives in career. I just couldn't put it down it's a great book No it's a wonderful book and I've now passed it on to my granddaughter who is a middle school who has so many needless to say this was a great book it had ups and downs and show Gary's life journey. I've now handed this book down to my granddaughter for her to read she has so many things she wants to do in life and I have explained to her that you will hit wall that you will have to climb over and I think this book kinda explains that and not to give up. "STAND" by Gary Hartfield is an extremely pointed and telling recap of his life journey. A life journey of pain and sorrow as a result of discontent, misguided parental life assignment and a series of failed attempts to meet the inward divine assignment that was given but unfortunately not allowed to developed until the author decided to "STAND". STAND.....for what God had presented to him during his senior year of high school. Standing and moving out of darkness through the prescription of the word of God allowed him to move into his assignment and purpose for life. The testimonies given are raw and direct. I applauded this young, gifted writer for releasing the pain and sorrow within to heal oneself as well as others who read this book and begin to inwardly look at what they have decided to "STAND" for.
Gary opens a window to his soul and shares his life journey with the reader. He shares both life trials and success.

Stand was truly an inspirational book. Gary was very candid about his life's experiences and how his connection with God was able to help him STAND. I would recommend it to anyone looking for strength and encouragement.
After reading the first few words I knew that I would finish reading the book that same day. Working with Gary for several years I felt like I knew him, but reading his book showed me a different side that he kept to himself sharing only small portions to help the next person. I received my copy on a Friday afternoon and I finished reading it on Saturday night. Needless to say, it was a good read. Takes you through the life of a young man who didn't have enough and grew up to where he now has more than enough. Financially and Spritually he prospered into a successful entrepreneur. I personally know of the Author/family and I must say that from what I see is that none of this story is fictional. Get your copy. ...

Hartfield’s Book STAND is more than an inspirational book. It is filled with great content that will have a direct impact on how you think, feel, and deal with real life issues. Hartfield’s candor was exemplified as he shared the good, the bad, and the truth in his personal journey. As I read STAND, I was immediately able to pick up jewels that will assist me in reaching my full potential as I tread into new beginnings.
